During the coronavirus pandemic, we are all searching for new ways to engage in these difficult circumstances and continue our efforts to secure a healthy, prosperous planet for generations to come. That's why the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative and the MIT Office of Sustainability have created the Climate Actions Calendar: a daily calendar of climate actions you can take from your own home, all through the month of April when Earth Day would normally be celebrated with major rallies and public demonstrations. Every action on the calendar is chosen to contribute to understanding, ideation, and direct impact on climate change.
How it works: Visit bit.ly/MIT-Action to import the calendar to your own personal calendar. Every Sunday in April we’ll be updating that calendar with new daily actions. Every day has a corresponding resource to support your action and get you thinking: things like reports, podcasts, and videos. Just click on each event in the calendar to learn more. You can also subscribe to the MIT Environment and Sustainability Weekly Roundup to receive each week's update to your inbox, along with other environmental news and events.
Tell us about it: We want to know about your climate actions. Share your thoughts, ideas, and photos of you in action on Twitter and tag @mit_esi and @sustainableMIT.
Have an event or resource you want to share? Our calendars have fresh actions and resources each week. Share your ideas and we may add them. Contact esi@mit.edu with your contributions.
